Engaging journalists in sex worker rights movement

Journalists are one of the main stakeholders who can play an important role sex worker's rights movement through their writing. Through the SWASA project in Bangladesh Naripokkho organized a meeting with sex workers and media representatives titled 'Role of Media in Supporting Sex Workers' Rights Movement'. 14 media representatives and 4 sex workers were present in the meeting where 5 media representatives shared their experiences during the 1999 movement and 4 sex workers talked about their role during the movement and their position in exercising their rights as citizens and human beings.
